On September 17, officials from Prince William County will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of the new Animal Services Center, according to the Prince William County Police Department.

Guests can take a tour of the new facility, located at 14807 Bristow Road in Manassas, and are invited to adopt animals free of charge, authorities said.

The Prince William County Board of Supervisors said that with the county's growing population, it was time to give the 45-year-old Animal Services Center an upgrade for the sake of the animals.

The new and improved facility offers plenty of outdoor play space, updated ventilation systems, and an advanced veterinarian suite, officials detailed.
